Free image tools that run in your browser
Convert, compress, resize, crop and rotate images without uploading them anywhere. Your files stay on your device, there is no sign-up, and nothing is watermarked.
Convert an imagePrivate by design
Most online converters make you upload your photos to a stranger's server. raster.gg does the work on your device instead, using professional image codecs compiled to WebAssembly.
Nothing is uploaded
Your images are decoded, edited and saved by code running in your own browser. They are never sent to our servers or to anyone else's.
Fast, because nothing travels
There is no upload or download wait. Batches are processed in parallel on your device, so a folder of photos finishes in moments.
Keeps working once loaded
After a tool has loaded, processing needs no network connection, so a flaky signal will not interrupt a batch that is already running.
Frequently asked questions
Is raster.gg really free?
Yes. There are no accounts, no usage limits and no watermarks. The site is paid for by advertising, which is why you will see ads around the tools.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Every tool runs inside your browser and your files never leave your device. You can confirm it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while you convert a file, and you will see no image data being sent.
Which image formats can I use?
You can open JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF and SVG files, and save as JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or ICO. The Images to PDF tool combines images into a single PDF.
Is there a file size limit?
We do not impose one, but your device's memory does. Images larger than 50 megapixels are refused so that a huge file cannot crash your browser tab; resize it first or try a computer if a phone struggles.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in any current mobile browser. Phones have less memory than computers, so very large batches and AVIF encoding can be slow on older devices.
